Campaign to promote healthy habits at COMSA Corporación

In the occasion of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, COMSA Corporación launches a campaign to promote healthy habits among all its employees.

Over the coming months and aimed at the whole workforce, the plan will be developed through the following lines:

CARDIOVASCULAR RISK PREVENTION 

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death worldwide and 80% of the deaths it causes could be prevented by adopting a healthy lifestyle that reduces risk factors.

PROMOTING HEALTHY AND LOCAL NUTRITION  

To maintain good health it is essential to follow a “healthy and sustainable” diet with a predominance of plant-based foods and moderate consumption of animal origin foods, with seasonal and local products.

PREVENTION OF SEDENTARY LIFESTYLES 

Sedentary lifestyle is a lack of movement or physical activity lifestyle. The World Health Organization (WHO) defines as “sedentary” the person who performs less than ninety minutes of weekly physical activity.

Smoking is a chronic addictive disease whose main clinical manifestations are cardiovascular disorders, respiratory disorders, and the onset of tumors.

It has been proven that the consumption of alcohol and other drugs in the workplace means increasing the chances of an accident, not only in the workspace, but also in our mobility.
