Fira Barcelona’s Hall Zero reaches halfway point in construction

COMSA Corporación continues to make progress on the construction of Fira Barcelona’s Hall Zero, which has now reached the halfway point.

The new pavilion, built by the joint venture formed by COMSA, COMSA Industrial, FCC Construcción and FCC Industrial, now has its entire skeleton in place and work is continuing according to schedule.

The works recently received an institutional visit from the Mayor of Barcelona, Jaume Collboni Cuadrado; the Minister of Economy and Finance, Alicia Romero Llano; and the Mayor of L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, David Quirós Brito, among other authorities, who were able to see first-hand the progress of this strategic project for the future of the exhibition centre.

With a surface area of 60,000 m² spread over two levels, the future Hall Zero will be able to host major international events in modern, flexible and sustainable facilities. Once the expansion is complete, the Gran Via venue will have a total exhibition area of 300,000 m².

This project consolidates Fira Barcelona as one of Europe’s leading exhibition venues, reinforcing the city’s role as a global meeting point for economic and business activity and contributing to the dynamism of the region.
