COMSA Corporación continues to consolidate its international operations with the award of a new rail project in Mexico.
The company will carry out, in a joint venture with the Mexican firms RECSA and VISE México, the design and construction of 1.2 kilometres of track corresponding to the third section of the Querétaro–Irapuato passenger railway line.
The project includes the development of the stations at Apaseo el Grande, Celaya, Cortázar, Salamanca and Irapuato, as well as the realignment of the track layout and the reconfiguration of the Irapuato marshalling yard.
This project forms part of the new railway line being developed in the Bajío region, in the centre of the country, and will help to boost industrial and logistics activity in the area, improving connectivity and mobility.
COMSA Corporación has over 15 years’ experience in Mexico, where it has developed a strong specialisation in railway projects, supported by a large fleet of its own machinery and a high level of technical and operational capability.
