COMSA Corporación is set to carry out a key project for the modernisation of Croatia’s rail network

COMSA Corporación has been awarded one of the most significant rail projects in Eastern Europe in recent years, having been selected by HŽ Infrastruktura to carry out the renovation, extension and electrification of the Hrvatski Leskovac–Karlovac railway line in central Croatia.

A project with a major impact on the Croatian rail network

The project covers a total of 44 kilometres of track and includes:

  • Construction of a second railway line
  • New bridges and viaducts
  • Modernisation of stations and stops
  • Installation of state-of-the-art electrical and signalling systems

Once the works are completed, trains will be able to reach speeds of up to 160 km/h, significantly improving connectivity, operational efficiency and the safety of rail transport in the region.
