COMSA has been awarded the contract for the general collector for the western part of Tenerife, a project that will connect different population centres to the island’s regional sanitation and treatment system.
The project, awarded by ACUAES (Aguas de las Cuencas de España), involves the construction of a collector more than 5.2 kilometres long, which will carry wastewater to the new treatment plant in western Tenerife, where it will be treated appropriately.
This project is part of a series of actions being carried out by ACUAES in the western Tenerife system to improve sanitation, treatment and reuse of wastewater, contributing to more efficient and sustainable water cycle management.
The infrastructure will serve a population of over 100,000 inhabitants, reinforcing the role of water sanitation infrastructure as a key element in protecting the environment and improving quality of life.
