COMSA Corporación, in a joint venture with CIVIS GLOBAL, S.L.U., has completed the work enabling the railway siding at the Salvaterra-As Neves Industrial Logistics Platform (Plisan) in Galicia to be put into service. The infrastructure is now connected to the general railway network, allowing the first train to run and strengthening the port’s intermodality.
The project, promoted by the Port of Vigo in coordination with Adif, has included:
- Installation of the siding connection turnouts
- Integration of the signalling and communications systems in the control centres
- Adaptation of the catenary to the new track configuration
This is a highly complex project, carried out within a limited timeframe and ensuring railway safety standards at all times.
With the commissioning of the siding, Plisan consolidates its role as a strategic logistics infrastructure in Galicia, facilitating more efficient and sustainable transport for industrial activity in the surrounding area.
