COMSA, in partnership with FCC, will construct three new berths for liquid bulk cargo on the eastern side of the Muelle de la Energía at the Port of Barcelona.
The project will strengthen the port’s operational capacity and improve traffic management, adapting its infrastructure to new logistical and energy requirements.
The new berths will be primarily dedicated to the loading and unloading of sustainable fuels, contributing to the decarbonisation of transport and logistics, and consolidating the Port of Barcelona’s role as an energy hub for southern Europe and the Mediterranean.
The project also includes complementary works to improve quay operations, such as the reinforcement of the existing berth 34B and the extension of the existing pit to facilitate the connection of unloading arms between ships and terminals.
With this project, COMSA continues to contribute its expertise in civil engineering and port infrastructure to the development of strategic initiatives for more efficient, sustainable logistics that are prepared for the challenges of the future.
