COMSA Industrial continues to make progress in the modernisation of Greenland’s airport infrastructure through the implementation of advanced air traffic control (ATC) communications systems, in collaboration with Jotron.
The project is being carried out at the airports in Nuuk, Ilulissat and Qaqortoq, where VHF radio, communications control (VCS) and recording systems have been supplied and integrated, helping to ensure safe and efficient operations.
In Qaqortoq, the airport is in its final phase prior to opening. A comprehensive operational trial was recently carried out, enabling the functionality of the entire infrastructure to be tested and progress to be made in preparations for its forthcoming opening.
This project builds on COMSA Industrial’s involvement at Nuuk International Airport, where the company implemented key technological systems for airport operations, including CNS, AWOS, EFS, ALCMS, CCTV and RCMS solutions.
With this project, COMSA Industrial reinforces its expertise in the airport sector and its presence in highly complex international initiatives, contributing to the development of safer, more efficient and better-connected infrastructure.
