To mark World Environment Day 2026, COMSA Corporación is joining the #PorElClimaYa campaign, reaffirming its commitment to climate action based on concrete progress and measurable commitments.
In line with this, the company has been awarded the “Calculate, Reduce and Offset” seal by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge’s Register of Carbon Footprints, Offsetting and CO₂ Absorption Projects.
This recognition reflects the work carried out by COMSA Corporación to measure, reduce and offset its carbon footprint, moving towards more efficient, responsible operations that are aligned with current environmental challenges.
As part of this journey, the company has participated in the planting of the Bosque del Vértice Frío forest in Teruel, a forest regeneration initiative that contributes to CO₂ absorption, the improvement of the natural environment and the promotion of rural employment. In total, 918 trees have been planted, with a potential offset of 208 tonnes of CO₂.
Furthermore, COMSA Corporación is working towards offsetting 550 tonnes of CO₂ for the 2025–2026 period, currently in the processing stage and linked to the Fontefría afforestation project in Castrelo do Val, Ourense, an area affected by forest fires.
Through these initiatives, COMSA Corporación continues to make progress in integrating sustainability into its operations and the way in which it carries out its works and services.
