New underpass at Madrid Chamartín-Clara Campoamor station

The new underpass connecting the high-speed rail network with the commuter rail and underground networks at Madrid Chamartín-Clara Campoamor station is now in service.

COMSA Corporación, in a joint venture with Vías y Construcciones, SANJOSE Constructora and Grupo Azvi, has participated in the execution of this key infrastructure, which runs under the 12 high-speed tracks and is 177 metres long and 9 metres wide.

The work included the construction of the underpass and its connection to the underground commuter train lobby, equipped with lifts, fixed and mechanical stairs, as well as the integration of accessibility and communication systems with the platforms.

This project, promoted by ADIF Alta Velocidad and the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, improves the station’s intermodal connection and provides a more agile, direct and accessible exit for passengers. Representatives of COMSA Corporación were present at the commissioning ceremony for this new space.
