The Spanish State Railway Safety Agency (AESF) has granted COMSA the Single Safety Certificate which, together with the Railway Company License obtained at the beginning of 2024, allows the company to provide rail freight transport services on the General Interest Railway Network (RFIG).
The granting of this certificate will allow COMSA to move its machinery more efficiently and quickly between the different works distributed throughout Spain. Thus, the Single Safety Certificate is another step forward in the company’s commitment to promote its own machinery, which has state-of-the-art models thanks to the investment of 40 million euros made in the last five years.
The Single Safety Certificate certifies that COMSA has a safety management system with the appropriate procedures in the following areas:
- Control systems, circulation and railway safety
- Staff knowledge related to railway traffic safety
- Technical characteristics of railway rolling stock and its maintenance
- Other technical specifications
