COMSA boosts its presence in Mexico with a new civil works contract. The company has been awarded the project to widen two sections of the Lagos de Moreno city bypass in a joint venture with local companies VISE and Construcarr. The works have been awarded by Red de Carreteras de Occidente, part of the Abertis group.
The works on section 1, which begins at the junction of Highway 80D and 80 (free) towards San Luis Potosí, include the widening of the roadway in the direction of Lagos de Moreno, as well as the construction and expansion of drainage works and the adaptation of accesses, among others. In addition, the construction of a new crossing is also contemplated.
The works on section 2, which has a length of 14.2 km, consist of widening the carriageway, as well as the construction of various intersections and crossings to ensure the connectivity and functionality of the bypass. An overpass will also be built over the Ferromex railway line.
This project will improve the road infrastructure of Lagos de Moreno, optimising connectivity, safety and traffic flow in this Mexican region.
