COMSA Corporación is completing the modernisation work on the Koldo Mitxelena Kulturunea (KMK) in Donostia, a project aimed at renovating this historic building to adapt it to current needs.
The aim of the project is to improve the accessibility, functionality and energy efficiency of the facility, reinforcing its role as a cultural landmark in Gipuzkoa. The work is being carried out in a joint venture with Cycasa Canteras y Construcciones.
The main actions of the project include:
- Renovation of the roof, façades and facilities
- Comprehensive improvement of accessibility, with new ramps, adaptation of exterior slopes and adaptation of toilets
- Installation of two lifts connecting all floors
These actions will provide more spacious, accessible and comfortable spaces, improving the user experience and promoting the development of the centre’s cultural activities.
