World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (17 May)
Telecommunications are key infrastructures for ensuring the structuring of the region and the connectivity of citizens and companies. However, the provision of comprehensive fibre optic coverage and the deployment of new fixed and mobile networks are two of the main challenges to overcome to ensure universal access to digital radio and television, telephone and internet services. COMSA Industrial develops turnkey telecommunication systems and network projects in order to contribute to the fulfilment of this strategic objective.
The COMSA group’s engineering company promotes the installation of fibre optics in Spain. It is currently implementing fibre optic contracts in Catalonia, Madrid and Andalusia for domestic and business environments and public bodies, as well as deployment on roads and for the Adif rail network.
COMSA Industrial also collaborates with public administrations for the provision of safety and emergency solutions. Recently, the company has been responsible for the installation and commissioning of a new hybrid IP-TDM technology network for the internal communications of the Basque Government. In Galicia, it has provided new radio communication equipment for the regional Emergency and Security Network, as well as electronic equipment for the Vigo Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre. In addition, the engineering company has exported its extensive know-how to Chile where it is currently providing a trunked digital communication system for different prison centres in the metropolitan region and in the cities of Valparaiso, Viña del Mar, Concepción and Talcahuano.
Finally, in its fixed and mobile networks business line, COMSA Industrial has framework contracts for the construction, supply of equipment and maintenance of systems for leading companies in the electricity, airport, telecommunications, critical infrastructures and operator sectors.
