COMSA Corporación participates in the modernisation of irrigation in the Ribera Alta del Porma region

COMSA Corporación is participating in the irrigation modernisation project in Ribera Alta del Porma, which it is carrying out in a joint venture with Grupo Inmeva. The project covers an area of 4,603 hectares and will benefit more than 2,800 irrigators in the municipalities of Santa Colomba de Curueño, Vegas del Condado, Valdefresno and Villaturiel.

The main actions planned include the construction of a 294,000 m³ regulating reservoir, a pumping station and a network of pipes covering more than 12 kilometres, in addition to the electrical infrastructure and photovoltaic energy associated with the system.

The works have been publicly presented by the Director General of the Agricultural Technology Institute of Castile and León (ITACyL), Rafael Sáez González, accompanied by the regional representative of the Castile and León Regional Government in León, Eduardo Diego, as well as representatives of the Ribera Alta del Porma Irrigation Community and the project team.

The project focuses on the modernisation of irrigation and more efficient water management.
