With more than 15 years operating in Mexico, COMSA continues to consolidate its position in the country with the award of three new railway projects in Mexico City, focused on improving public transport and promoting electromobility.
Among the projects awarded are the adaptation and modernisation of the Tasqueña Light Rail terminal, as well as comprehensive maintenance work on lines A and 12 of the capital’s underground system.
The work on the Tasqueña Light Rail terminal includes the construction of a new railway platform, the renovation of the electromechanical infrastructure of the track and catenary, as well as the refurbishment of the pedestrian infrastructure and the maintenance of all stations. In addition, accessibility will be improved through the Modal Transfer Centre and public lighting will be installed in the area.
These works will optimise passenger flow, reinforce operational safety and facilitate connections with other modes of transport, contributing to more efficient and safer mobility as part of the urban improvement plan prior to the 2026 World Cup.
Meanwhile, the refurbishment works on Line 1 of the Mexico City Metro carried out by COMSA have entered their final phase. Tests are currently being carried out with trains on the section between Chapultepec and Observatorio, where the works have already been completed. The company’s next interventions will focus on the refurbishment of the Zaragoza Workshops, as well as the comprehensive maintenance of the entire line.
