After more than three years of comprehensive modernisation, Line 1 of the Mexico City Metro reopened this weekend with full service from Pantitl\u00e1n to Observatorio.<\/p>\n

COMSA has carried out this important project, which has included the total renovation of the track system, the refurbishment of infrastructure and the modernisation of the electrical traction and low-voltage systems, as well as the hydraulic and air conditioning systems.<\/p>\n

The Head of Government of Mexico City, Clara Brugada, and the Secretary of the Interior of Mexico, Rosa Icela Rodr\u00edguez, among other authorities, were present at the reopening ceremony of Line 1, the oldest line in the capital’s metro network. During the event, it was highlighted that the new Observatorio station will become one of the most important intermodal centres in the country, connecting with other transport systems, such as the Mexico-Toluca Interurban Train and various bus lines.<\/p>\n

In addition to the renovation of Line 1, COMSA is carrying out the refurbishment of the Zaragoza Workshops and will take on the comprehensive maintenance of the entire line.<\/p>\n
