This project is part of the modernisation programme of the National Railway Network in Portugal and is co-financed by the European Union through the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) programme.<\/p>\n<p>The main actions carried out include the construction of a 20.5 km platform and a technical station, as well as the construction of 6 railway viaducts and various overpasses, underpasses and agricultural crossings.<\/p>\n<p>These works will allow the future doubling of the track, favouring the connection between industrial and urban areas in Portugal, Spain and the rest of Europe.<\/p>\n<p>The new railway link strengthens rail transport and contributes to a more efficient and sustainable infrastructure network.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>COMSA, together with FERGRUPO and SANJOSE, has completed the construction of the new railway section between \u00c9vora Norte and Freixo, in Portugal, which is part of the future International Southern Corridor.
