This achievement allows Renfe trains to run again between Santander and Renedo, marking a key advance in the improvement of the transport infrastructure in Cantabria.<\/p>\n<p>The project, part of the Cantabria Suburban Railway Plan, has overcome important technical challenges, such as the construction of a concrete slab in Parbay\u00f3n, supported by more than 80 piles, which facilitates the installation of the new double track in an area with a complicated orography. This type of intervention underlines our capacity to execute highly complex projects, always aimed at improving the efficiency and safety of rail transport.<\/p>\n<p>We have also eliminated the Parbay\u00f3n level crossing by building a subway, improving road safety in the area. In addition, improvements have been made at Torrelavega Tanos station, including the forthcoming installation of a subway and lifts to ensure better accessibility.<\/p>\n<p>Each advance in this project brings us closer to a more modern, safe and sustainable railway system, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals and supported by the European Union through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>COMSA Corporaci\u00f3n, together with CYCASA, has successfully completed one of the most complex phases in the modernisation of the Torrelavega-Santander railway line, bringing into service a new track between Renedo and Guarnizo.
