COMSA Corporaci\u00f3n strengthens its presence in Portugal with the award of the expansion project for the Green and Yellow lines of the Lisbon Metro, one of the most important works in the capital in recent years. Thus, COMSA -construction company-, COMSA Industrial -engineering- and FERGRUPO -subsidiary of the group in Portugal- will execute the works together with the company Zagope.<\/p>\n
The award of the contract for 70 million euros is in response to the tender for Lot 4 for the completion of the extension of the two metro lines, which will be carried out consecutively to the development works of lots 1 and 2 for the construction of the Rato\/Santos and Santos\/Cais do Sodr\u00e9 sections, and lot 3, relating to the Campo-Grande viaducts.<\/p>\n
The works contemplate the union of the Green and Yellow lines to form a circular line. COMSA Corporaci\u00f3n and Zagope will build a new 1.9 km section between the Rato and Cais de Sodr\u00e9 stops -including track, catenary and systems-, two new stations (Estrela and Santos) and two new ventilation shafts. In addition, it will also carry out the adaptation at Cais de Sodr\u00e9 station, where a new vestibule will be built, and the shaft located next to Rato station.<\/p>\n
Lisbon Metro, which celebrates its 75th anniversary this year, expects the circular line to enter service in 2024.<\/p>\n
