The construction company has recently been awarded <strong>the project to rehabilitate the tracks and systems of Line 1 of the Mexico City Metro<\/strong> for a value of close to 80 million euros. Work is scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The works consist of the renewal of 39 km of track and ballast, as well as 17 escapes and 12 turnouts, all included in the section that runs from Pantitl\u00e1n to Observatorio, both on main and secondary tracks and shunting areas. The contract also includes the supply of material such as sleepers, fastenings and ballast, among others.<\/p>\n<p>The project also includes the rehabilitation of the electrical systems (low voltage, lighting, continuity bridges), air conditioning in the technical rooms of the stations, pumping wells and their hydraulic systems, as well as minor structural repairs.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Chinese alliance<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The works to be carried out by COMSA are part of a long-term services contract (PPS) between the public entity Sistema de Transporte Colectivo (STC) and the Chinese company CRRC Zhuzhou Locomotive, which includes the comprehensive modernisation of trains, as well as the control system and tracks of Line 1 of the Mexico City Metro.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Development in Mexico<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>COMSA Corporaci\u00f3n has had a stable presence in Mexico since 2009. The group, which this year celebrates its 130th anniversary, has contributed to the development of major infrastructures in the country, including the construction of the Libramiento Sur highway in Guadalajara, the railway bypass of the Port of Veracruz, and the rehabilitation and maintenance of several lines of the Metro and the Mexico City Light Railway.<\/p>\n<p>The company is currently rehabilitating the La Mata &#8211; Colonia Jord\u00e1n section of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec Railway, which is the most advanced section of the five currently under construction, among other infrastructure projects.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>COMSA Corporaci\u00f3n continues to expand its presence in Latin America.
