21\/09\/2020 –\u00a0COMSA Corporaci\u00f3n, in collaboration with the Brazilian companies Loctec and Enescil, will build the bridge over the Araguaia River on highway BR-080, which will connect the states of Goi\u00e1s and Mato Grosso. The project, which means an investment of 25 million euros, has been awarded by Brazil’s National Department of Transport Infrastructure (DNIT) and represents a further step towards the implementation of the BR-242 motorway between Ribeir\u00e3o Cascalheira and S\u00e3o Miguel do Araguaia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The bridge will enable access for grain producers in Mato Grosso to the North-South Railway (FNS), the main route from the Centre-West of the country to the country’s port terminals. It will thus improve the logistics of agricultural freight transport which will have an impact on the development of the local economies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The construction of the cable-stayed bridge over the Araguaia River, as well as its access roads, totals four kilometres in length. The platform will be 20 metres high in order to respect the traffic of the boats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Growth in Latin America<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n COMSA Corporaci\u00f3n has a consolidated experience in the Latin American market and especially in Brazil. The group is currently executing the second phase of Line 4 of the S\u00e3o Paulo Subway and the duplication of the BR-101 highway between the cities of Rio Largo, S\u00e3o Miguel dos Campos and Teot\u00f4nio Vilela, among other projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
