The works, which were executed over a period of six months, consisted of major track repairs, including the replacement of 5.7 km of double track on slabs with ballasted track with rails, mono-block concrete sleepers and elastic fixings. Likewise, the necessary materials and equipment have been supplied for the corrective maintenance of the track, which will reduce the travel time from 60 to 35 minutes, allowing the trains to travel at up to 60 km\/hour.
