08\/07\/19 – Adif has awarded COMSA the contract for the structural consolidation works on the M\u00e9ndez \u00c1lvaro station, which provides service to the C-1, C-5, C-7 and C-10 suburban rail lines in Madrid and operates as a transport interchange between other metro and bus lines in the capital. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Specifically, the project involves the measures necessary to resolve various shortcomings in the station, especially at the level of the tracks and platforms that run on the surface, caused by the passage of time and the movements of the filling material of the embankment on which the infrastructure is located. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The works are to be executed over a period of five months and are included in the Madrid Suburban Rail Plan (2018-2025). To carry them out, it has been necessary to cut off all rail traffic for two months, scheduled between 1 July and 1 September 2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
