{"id":11796,"date":"2018-12-12T13:29:38","date_gmt":"2018-12-12T12:29:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.comsa.com\/?p=11796"},"modified":"2021-02-05T16:40:51","modified_gmt":"2021-02-05T15:40:51","slug":"comsa-industrial-renews-its-relationship-with-cern-and-expects-to-employ-up-to-250-people","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.comsa.com\/en\/industrial-engineering\/comsa-industrial-renews-its-relationship-with-cern-and-expects-to-employ-up-to-250-people\/","title":{"rendered":"COMSA Industrial renews its relationship with CERN and expects to employ up to 250 people"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>12\/12\/2018 &#8211; The European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN), which has the largest particle physics laboratory in the world, <strong>has renewed its partnership with COMSA Industrial<\/strong> by extending the validity period of three contracts that the engineering company of COMSA Corporaci\u00f3n is currently executing at its sites in Prevessin (France) and Meyrin (Switzerland): electrical installations, electrical maintenance and telecommunications and networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the one hand, <a title=\"COMSA Industrial\" href=\"https:\/\/www.comsa.com\/en\/web\/comsawp\/instalaciones-de-baja-y-media-tension\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">COMSA Industrial<\/a> will take over the <strong>electrical installations<\/strong> tasks all the way to the year 2022, which include medium and low voltage as well as industrial control works. On the basis of this agreement, the company will be responsible of <strong>modernising the installations during the particle accelerator long shutdown<\/strong> scheduled for the years 2019 and 2020 with the aim of increasing its power to 100%. This is the second time that\u00a0<a title=\"CERN\" href=\"https:\/\/home.cern\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CERN<\/a> interrupts its activity for the purpose of carrying out maintenance tasks. COMSA Industrial already managed the previous stoppage that took place between the years 2013 and 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The size of <strong>this project would mean that the company will double the number of employees<\/strong> at CERN \u2013currently comprised of 120 people- to <strong>250 collaborators,<\/strong> especially during the technical stoppage.
