Since the beginning of the year Guillermo Lorenzo holds maximum responsibility<\/strong> for the achievement of the objectives stated in the 2017-2020 COMSA Strategic Plan<\/a><\/strong>, targets which in the past year have been met with the restructuring of the business within the framework of the COMSA Corporaci\u00f3n refinancing process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under his mandate, Lorenzo will be in charge of providing continuity to the group strategy centred in the expansion of its core activities of construction and engineering into those international markets<\/strong> with high demand for development and modernization of transport infrastructures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In recent years, COMSA has in fact diversified its portfolio<\/strong> in countries where it already counted with a consolidated presence. In Brazil<\/a><\/strong>, a territory it entered into in 2009 with rail contracts, the building company has just finalized the widening of a stretch of the R\u00e9gis Bittencourt highway in the Serra de Cafezal and the doubling of the SP-345 road in Sao Paulo. It also continues to work on the second phase of Line 4 of the metro of the same city. In addition, COMSA accessed Colombia<\/strong> by carrying out civil engineering projects and is now undertaking the supply, installation and implementation of the electromechanical equipment and computer and radio-communication control systems for the La L\u00ednea tunnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In parallel, the group launched in markets with strong business opportunities<\/strong>, such as Denmark<\/strong>, with the contract for the construction of the tram for the city of Odense<\/a>; Croatia<\/strong>, to develop the new railway line between Gradec and Sveti Ivan Zabno<\/a>; and Sweden<\/strong>, with the widening the Tibble \u2013 Visinge stretch of railway in Taby<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guillermo Lorenzo (Bilbao, 1961) is a Civil Engineer and graduate of the ESADE Business School MBA. Lorenzo has developed his professional career in COMSA over the last 22 years, occupying several positions, such as: Delegate in the Basque Country, Managing Director of Fergrupo<\/a> (subsidiary of the Group in Portugal), Director of Rail Infrastructure<\/a>, Director of COMSA Industrial<\/a> and Managing Director of Infrastructures and Engineering. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
