Kauno Tiltai<\/a>, subsidiary of COMSA Corporaci\u00f3n, has finished the construction project of the western bypass of Vilnius, the capital city of Lithuania. The new infrastructure, which is already operational to vehicles, is an integral part of international traffic corridor IXB, connecting Baltic sea with Black sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project, completed in 18 month, included the construction of 5.4 km long stretch of six lanes with seven two-level junctions. Its main goal is increase traffic flow of goods and passengers. It\u2018s estimated a saving of 15 million driving hours over a period of 20 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The significance of the project was appraised by European Commission, which allocated 84M\u20ac from EU Cohesion funds. Total cost of the contract was about 90 M\u20ac.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
