{"id":11727,"date":"2016-07-19T11:00:23","date_gmt":"2016-07-19T10:00:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.comsa.com\/?p=11727"},"modified":"2022-11-04T11:00:25","modified_gmt":"2022-11-04T10:00:25","slug":"comsa-exports-its-railway-expertise-to-sweden","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.comsa.com\/en\/infrastructures\/comsa-exports-its-railway-expertise-to-sweden\/","title":{"rendered":"COMSA exports its railway expertise to Sweden"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>COMSA, the construction company of the group COMSA Corporaci\u00f3n, has gained access to the Swedish railway market following the award of the contract for the installation of dual track on a stretch between the stations of Tibble and Visinge in the town of T\u00e4by, located to the north-east of Stockholm.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The authority responsible for urban transport in Sweden, AB Storstockholms Lokaltrafik, has selected COMSA to carry out the installation of dual track on a branch of the commuter railway line, the renewal of platforms and facilities of three passenger stations, the reconstruction of level crossings, the creation and enlargement of crossings for bicycles, pedestrians and vehicles, as well as electrification, signalling and telecommunications works.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The contract, worth 26 million Euros, enables COMSA to export its know-how and the expertise accumulated over a century to Sweden, together with its turnkey service model with respect to railways, which includes the construction and maintenance of infrastructure and superstructures, electrification works and the development and implementation of control and communication systems.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The <a title=\"COMSA Corporaci\u00f3n\" href=\"https:\/\/www.comsa.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">COMSA Corporaci\u00f3n<\/a> group is present in the Swedish infrastructure sector since 2014 through its Lithuanian subsidiary <a title=\"Kauno Tiltai\" href=\"https:\/\/kaunotiltai.lt\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kauno Tiltai<\/a>. In 2015, the company was awarded the refurbishment of the national trunk road 156 linking the towns of Skene and Skoghem. Moreover, it has also executed urban development projects and facilities reconstruction in Stockholm.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Consolidated presence in Lithuania, Latvia and Poland<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Apart from Sweden, COMSA Corporaci\u00f3n has a lot going on in northern and eastern Europe. In Lithuania, Kauno Tiltai is still executing the Sestokai \u2013 Marijampole stretch of Baltic Rail, a project to interconnect Finland, the Baltic States, Eastern Europe and Central Europe by train through the construction of tracks with two different gauges (European and Russian). In the area of civil engineering, the company is extending a 61-kilometre stretch of the E67 highway between Kaunas and Marijampole, as well as the construction of the western by-pass for Vilnius, a project included in the Trans-European Transport Network.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The most significant projects of its Polish subsidiary, <a title=\"Trakcja PRKil\" href=\"http:\/\/www.grupatrakcja.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trakcja PRKil<\/a>, include the modernization of the track on the E 59 railway line linking the towns of Poznan and Czempin and the construction of several branches of the S 5 motorway: Szubin to Jaroszewo and Aleksandrowo to Tryszczyn.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\">According to the president of COMSA Corporaci\u00f3n, Jorge Miarnau, \u201cour century-long experience and high degree of specialization in railways represent added value for the countries of Northern Europe, where there is a growing demand for the modernization and development of infrastructures, especially in the railway sector.
