COMSA, through the Department of Prevention, Quality and Environment, and together with the National Institute of Health and Safety at Work (INSHT<\/a>), has produced “Prevention Technical Note: NTP-958 Railway Infrastructure – Preventive maintenance”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This NTP is the first preventive document on railway infrastructure published by the INSHT. It identifies the main risks and safety measures applicable in preventive maintenance operations involving the railway line, electrification and facilities, focused primarily on protection against the risk of winding and electrical contact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The importance of this publication is twofold: firstly, the great impact that these Technical Notes have at preventive level, being global benchmarks; and on the other hand, the fact that this is the first Technical Note in a series of five covering different railway processes: preventive and corrective maintenance, construction of conventional lines, high speed and use of machinery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
