The official ceremony was attended by the Minister of Interior and Transport, Florencio Randazzo, while the COMSA EMTE entourage was led by Ramon Castro, director of the Group in Argentina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The TBM, 150 metreslong, will remove soil while positioning the concrete rings that form the 10.4 metre diameter tunnel that the two tracks will pass through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The machine advances 20 metres a day and consists of a rotating head and a series of equipment and systems that allow the removal of excavated material and the installation of concrete rings at the same time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project is currently in the first of three stages, involving the underground work for the double track between the Haedo and Caballito stations.
