In Civil Works, COMSA has extensive experience in the construction of roads, bridges and tunnels, and in airport, hydraulic, maritime and urban development projects.
Over the past few years it has won major projects such as the Vielha Tunnel and the Southern Sea Wall at the Port of Barcelona, and has also reinforced its presence in the airports sector through work to upgrade and expand Barajas airport in Madrid and El Prat airport in Barcelona.
COMSA works with GICSA and Nortúnel on its projects. GICSA (Gestión Integral de Conservación, S.A.) enables it to operate in the infrastructure upkeep and maintenance business, especially in terms of roads.
Operating through Nortúnel, a company in which it has a stake, COMSA carries out tunnel and underground projects. The Ordes Link Road Tunnels (A Coruña), a number of projects for the Bilbao Metro and the Llobregat Tunnel on the AVE (Spanish High Speed Train) line in Barcelona are some of its most significant projects.
