COMSA Rail Transport has strategic alliances abroad to deliver rail freight services across Europe.
In this sense, it has strengthened its commercial rail traffic capacity in the continent with French company SNCF acquiring a stake in its capital.
Additionally, COMSA Rail Transport maintains an agreement with Portuguese operator Takargo, with the two firms setting up Ibercargo Rail between them. This latter company delivers logistics support solutions in the Iberian market with the efficiency produced by being able to run joint regular trains in the Peninsula that are operated by a single organisation.
The services delivered by Ibercargo Rail in Spain and Portugal include intermodal shipping of paper reels and recycled paper between a Zaragoza-based paper manufacturer and its customers in Portugal and multiple customer intermodal transport services between Madrid, Constantí (Tarragona) and Barcelona.
